I just wanted to keep you updated about our French classes. We have been making huge progress with speaking and writing in French.
Lately, with K-3, we have been learning vocabulary words and sentences about Fall, Halloween, numbers up to 20, days of the week, jobs, and school supplies. We have been focusing on speaking the language, but I am going to integrate more writing activities into the lessons after the break. Here are additional links and resources for your students to practice at home:
Grades 4 through 7, we have been learning about daily routines, activities, family, the alphabet, and focused on a personal presentation. You can access your child's presentation through Google Classroom. We also covered topics, such as the present tense of the verbs "to be" and "to have". I have many exciting activities for next trimester, such as an interview with a French native. The students will prepare an interview in French, and they will interview a young french student to find out what life is like in France. I will keep you posted about this activity. I asked the 7th grade students to put their phones in French, please make sure that they keep it that way :) Here are some links that you might enjoy:
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I am always available for you and your students. Bonne semaine... Madame Neipert
